What this site knows about you. Almost nothing.

No advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics. Server logs and contact-form messages, both kept short.

Who we are

Quick Pass Museum is published by Tamer Abdou, a journalist resident in Giza, Egypt. The site is hosted at the domain quick-pass-museum.lat. There is no company, no group, no investor. Tamer Abdou is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 with its executive regulations.

What we collect

  1. Server logs. The hosting service records IP address, request date/time, URL, referrer and user agent for each request. Retained 30 days, used only to diagnose technical problems and detect abusive traffic. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 2 of Law 151/2020 for ordinary personal data).
  2. Contact form messages and direct emails. If you write in, we keep your name, email and message for the duration of the correspondence plus twelve (12) months. Lawful basis: consent and legitimate interest in replying.
  3. No analytics, no tracking cookies. The site does not embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Clarity, or any equivalent service. There are no advertising cookies.

What we do not do

  • No advertising.
  • No data sale, no data rental, no transfer to data brokers.
  • No profile-building, no remarketing, no audience-segmentation.
  • No data used for AI training.
  • No transfer of personal data outside Egypt or the EEA, except as needed for ordinary email delivery.

Fonts

The site loads Space Grotesk from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, Google may receive your IP address. We do not receive that information. The site falls back to system sans-serif if the request is blocked.

Your rights

Under GDPR and the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law you may:

  • Request access to data we hold about you.
  • Ask for correction of inaccurate data.
  • Ask for deletion of data we no longer need.
  • Object to processing on the basis of legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — in Egypt, the Personal Data Protection Center (المركز المصري لحماية البيانات الشخصية); in the EU, your national authority.

To exercise: [email protected]. We try to reply within 30 days.

Children

The site targets adult readers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Email travels with TLS in transit. Form submissions are not stored on a public server.
