Fine print, in plain language.
The site is offered for free, with no commercial purpose. By reading, you accept the conditions below.
Effective from 1 May 2026.
1. Nature of the site
Quick Pass Museum is the personal journalism of Tamer Abdou. The briefings are independent journalism. They are not paid for, sponsored, or commissioned by any museum, by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, by the Supreme Council of Antiquities, or by any commercial body. Readers are encouraged to verify factual claims with the institutions concerned.
2. Not a commercial offer
This site sells nothing. It does not provide entry to any museum, does not arrange tours, does not act as a booking intermediary, and does not receive commissions from any party. References to museums, galleries, neighbourhoods or routes are descriptive, not transactional. To visit a museum, please contact that museum directly.
3. Copyright
All text and original photography on this site is the copyright of Tamer Abdou unless otherwise marked. Quotations of up to three hundred (300) words are permitted under fair-dealing for review or scholarly purposes provided the source is named. For longer use or print reproduction, please write to [email protected].
4. Names and trademarks
Names of museums, exhibitions, sites and institutions are used for identification only and do not imply any partnership or endorsement.
5. Accuracy and corrections
The briefings are revised when reader corrections come in or when a museum's situation changes substantially. Hours, gallery closures, and the smaller details of a museum's operation can change without notice; the site cannot guarantee any practical detail is current at the moment of reading. Corrections welcome at [email protected].
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Egyptian law, Tamer Abdou accepts no liability for any decision a reader takes on the basis of material on this site, including travel decisions, scheduling decisions, or interpretive decisions about objects in museums. Use of the site is at the reader's own discretion.
7. Letters and the contact form
If you write to the editorial address, you grant a non-exclusive licence to quote, edit and publish the substance of your letter — anonymously by default — in subsequent briefings. If you do not wish your letter to be quoted, mark it "not for publication" and we will respect that.
8. Linking and republication
Linking to any briefing is welcome and does not require permission. Republishing briefings in full on another site, framing the site within another site, or scraping the site for AI training data is not permitted without written consent.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the site or its content is submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt. For European readers, this clause does not affect mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.
